呃逆是指气逆上冲，喉间呃呃有声，声短而频，不能自止的病证。呃逆可以单独发生，亦可作为其他疾病之兼证，呈连续性或间歇性发作。呃逆有虚实之分，多因寒邪、食积、气郁、胃火导致胃失和降，气逆动膈；或因脾胃虚寒，清气不升，浊气不降；或因阴津不足，胃失濡润，和降失常而造成呃逆。治疗以和胃降气平呃为主。
