Originally written and publilshed in 1995, this is the memoir of Zoltán Frankl, who was born in Hungary in 1907, to a Jewish family.
His father was a respected doctor and one of the leaders of the local community. Zoltán Frankl had an extraordinary life, beginning as a young medical student in Hungary and becoming an internationally known oral surgeon with a prctice in Harley Street, London. In between, he surived one of the most terrible chapters in the history of mankind. This is the meaning of "Whirlwind."
In the last years of his life, he lived in Hampstead, North London. He passed away in 1998.
