Sitting under a green tree may often be one of the most enriching and enlightening experiences for a person, as he looks into the deepest parts of his mind, lost in his thoughts. Often, these thoughts take the shape of verses, as he jots them down before the float away.
Such was the birth of 'Under The Green Woods', a collection of poems spread over various topics, ranging from romance to ancient cultural history.
Several of the poems reflect the thoughts of an ordinary person living his daily life, breathing in the mundane monotony around him. Most of us no longer get the chance to escape into ourselves, to sit and just think about the beauty of nature, of this planet, and of our own selves. We get so busy trying to secure our tomorrow that our today is lost to us forever.
In the forty poems in this collection, the readers are presented with questions that they should have asked themselves much earlier. It's still not too late to revert to our happy selves, and all we need to do it try harder.
This book aims to revive the spirit of happiness in the reader, to challenge the existing norms of society, to point to the follies of our past, and to let the people enjoy the day that the live in.
