This ebook is the second in a series of eight, it deals mainly with the battles of 1914, and slightly into 1915. There a great many details about the armies and their respective battles. Forgotten by most is the fact that 1.3 million Indian soldiers fought in the First World War. The war exposed Indian troops to modern warcraft for the first time. Roped in by the British to help halt the ger juggernaut, these men were only trained and equipped to fight 19th century wars. This was a modern war with casualties of an industrial nature — whole battalions would be wiped out in a single day. But despite that, the Indian soldiers doggedly held their ground.
