The plot could be best described in the man's own words as "The monsters are easy it's the girls that are dangerous." The story takes place in a distant future where mankind is one of several star traveling species who have spread throughout the galaxy. Communication across the galaxy is instantaneous travel between star systems is mostly by scheduled public transport there are no sexual diseases no girl ever gets pregnant unless she wants to and sex is just for fun.
