The author considers his work "a true story essay collection," and indeed its main components, both in terms of poetry and prose, are based on the author's recollections of his own, personal "walk with God." Although intended for both Christian readers and those who are not yet believers, The Psalms is not proselytizing or chastising in its tone or content. The author's aim is to let his experiences, beliefs, and meditations on the world inspire his readers to make wise, ethical decisions. A wonderful "first Communion" book for young people, and a comforting gift for invalids, the elderly, the bereaved, or anyone who could benefit from a meaningful examination of what it means to be a Christian.
