Most hares love boxing; it's a fact. However, Little Hare likes to keep fit with yoga. On a walk, she discovers which sports other animals love, but when she gets lost, she finds more than she expects. A charming book about wildlife, sport and long ears.

This picture book combines nature and sports and the Olympics.

Q&A with the author:
Q. Why did you write this book?
A. I wanted to make a story which was gender neutral: I wanted a female character who could do 'boys' things, and boy characters who enjoyed 'girls' things. I decided sport was a very good way to illustrate this as either gender can do most sports. I think it's really important that we allow our children to take part in the things they enjoy, rather than guiding them to one sort of thing because it's blue or pink.

Q. How did you come up with the idea?
A. Quite often, my ideas come when I'm doing something boring and my mind wanders....on this occasion, I was at a book event and the weather was terrible, so there weren't too many people to talk to. I happened to be next to the Hare Preservation Society (UK) stand and I got thinking. I love hares, they are such majestic creatures; to make a story about Little Hare was a joy.

Q. Have you written anything else?
A. Yes, loads!

Vincent and the Vampires
Royal Fleas
Wally and Bert, BFFs
Flossie Bonce
Bluebell's New School
Nature Calls (Free on Kindle/kindle app)
