Christian Black, a sophomore transfer from a small town, is struggling in pre-med at his new university. He is failing his classes, his meal card has been shut off, and his roommate grunts Metallica lyrics while twirling a baseball bat. After human feeding fests with his new brothers, Christian must choose between the murderous, carefree lifestyle he has come to embrace, or the human friends Panis de Vita considers prey.
