Nootropics (Smart drugs/cognitive enhancers) that come in the form of pharmaceuticals, supplements, and herbs, are used with the intention of the user gaining improved creativity, improvement in memory, and improved prefrontal (front part of the brain) functioning which includes planning and personality expression, and motivation, amongst many things. A nootropic by definition, is not intended for the treatment of pathology, but cognitive enhancement in the already healthy individual.
