Pre-University Paper from the year 2015 in the subject American Studies - Culture and Applied Geography, grade: 13, , language: English, abstract: The American School System - quite an abstract nomenclature. Though it seems that these words simply describe the scheme which is used to teach (or misteach) America's future, it has many different meanings, depending on the person one asks, depending on the time one asks. During my research, I realized that in the US there is nothing like the American school system in principle, but rather 50 different systems, though most of them do not really differ from each other. What does exist is the average American school system, a raw version, a basic model, used as a draft by each state, completed to what they think is the perfect system to teach their youngest generation - because learning is not just for school, but for life. I chose this subject because for me, the American school system is really interesting. I have already done some research before to find out about colleges/universities as there is nothing right now that I want more than to study in the United States. This is also the reason why is chose English as my class to write in. So with all the previous knowledge, some extra research and my usual impetus I had a good time writing this.
