The Adventures of Uncle Mylar Bible Study is a six-week, preteen Bible Study built around the tall tales of a retired biblical archeologist, H. M. Jameson. Each adventure focuses on Bible truths relevant to our time and demonstrates steps a believer can take to live out their relationship to Jesus Christ in a practical day-to-day faith.
Uncle Mylar relates stories of his past to help solve the problems his nephew faces. The boy’s persistence interrupts an evening book reading in an attempt to win a story he believes will be worth the effort. This book relates the first six of these stories.

“The Flaming Sword.” The reader learns about Uncle Mylar’s search for the legendary flaming sword from Genesis chapter three. The lesson conveys how actions demonstrate faith.
“Burning Mountain.” Uncle Mylar tells about his search for Mount Sinai and teaches how God uses even our failures to direct our life's work.
“Cankered Gold.” Uncle Mylar tells how he searched for the lost cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Through his exploits he teaches to search for true gold and be rich in God's sight.
“Elisha’s Tomb.” An archeological dig near the Prophet Elisha's home town, Uncle Mylar finds new strength to face his fears after seeking refuge in the darkness of an ancient sepulcher.
“Peter’s Vision.” Uncle Mylar tells the story of his search for the Comet Kohoutek and how he learned God directs his steps.
“Third Horseman.” Uncle Mylar’s searches for Jacob's ladder and shares his understanding of a society filled with greed and self-interest.

Each story includes notes for a suggested study plan to keep throughout the week.
