The Two Rings.

A place where ancient magic mingles with advanced technology. Where floatships sail on solar winds across the vast, stormy Aether between planets. Where the Xanate, the great and powerful empire that has lasted for a thousand cycles, rules over the worlds and Noble Houses with an iron fist.

Tales of the Two Rings: Volume 1 is a collection of three novellas set in the “sword and planet” setting of the Two Rings.
In “Profit and Loss,” an epic chase plays out between the two floatships deep within the swirling currents and solar winds of the Aether, a chase that quickly turns into a game of life or death. Now as both Sunmasters and their crews risk everything in a battle of wits and wills, they have to count the cost of how much they have to gain…and what they can afford to lose.

In “Point of Egress,” just as a master thief thinks he’s out of the larceny game for good, he receives a job from an unexpected source, a job he can’t afford to turn down. But he will quickly discover that this job isn’t all it seems. Especially when he can’t trust his own eyes.

In “Flesh and Blood,” the wife of a Nevagan warrior has no rights and no options…until she commits an unforgivable crime. Now she must decide how far she is willing to go in order to survive. And to protect her own flesh and blood.
