The following letter was found in an envelope taped to the back page of an ex-library copy of a children’s science book, brought from a charity shop in Kent. The owner, who wishes to remain anonymous, passed it on to me. The author claims to have photocopied the letter, however the copy found appears to be the handwritten original. I hope I have done right by the author in releasing it.
