This is a stand-alone short story (4500 words) set in the world of the Reapers series. Chronologically, this story takes place after book one and before book two, but it can be read at any time.

Holly Daye hates her job. She works for a corporation, Harvest One, and it’s her job to go in and rid a home of ghosts after her ghostly partner has haunted them for a few weeks. If she knew how to do anything else, she would quit and go do it, but she’s been working for Harvest One since she was sixteen and she’s got no other options.
The only redeeming element of her job is the look on a person’s face when she tells them their home is ghost-free. The relief and gratitude she sees in their eyes help her to get through all the other parts of the job she hates. Unfortunately, her partner has decided to play by his own rules. He’s destroyed Holly’s chance to play hero, and he has the nerve to ask her for help. Holly is going to have to accept that she can’t always be the heroine or walk away from everything she’s ever known.
