Marriage as a concept has many definitions, depending on schools of thought or personal understanding. In my own intuition, marriage can be defined as the coming together of two or more people (opposite or same sex) from different backgrounds, sometimes, having different or the same belief system and have resolved to live together as husband and wife, having fulfilled legal requirements for the purpose of child bearing and to perform other marital functions together.
Many people save whole lots of money towards their weddings (a ceremony aftermath marriage) in view. And some will even go extra miles borrowing or mortgaging their properties for the sake of wedding - they want it to be the best in town, they will want all the social media to publish it and they will want to have their reception and honeymoon at the best hotel in town. Hmm! It is OK if the money is there. But let it be known that the wedding fuzz can only last for a few days whereas, marriage endures till death parts you.
How prepared are you to embark on this journey? How much information have you banked as regards this tedious life’s journey? Have you cared to go close to couples who are happily married and asked them what is their secret? Have you equally interacted with couples who are old enough in marriage to inquire or share their experiences on what having been keeping them together for decades despite divorce rocking marriages in this contemporary world? Are you aware that lack of proper information mars a person? And failure to follow instructions, lead one to destruction.
