I used to be a leader who could not see past his nose. My leadership and influence became an opportunity to micromanage, dictate, and "lord over" people for my own glory. Not any more... I got tired of being a leader obsessed with a "me-sized-little-kingdom"... as opposed to the world altering Kingdom of God.
By examining the life of Jesus I learned an important lesson. Leadership does not need to be all about us. The best leader in human history, Jesus Christ, influenced others by serving them, forgiving them, and laying his life down for them. Giving the world a new paradigm for what leadership can and should be.
The principles laid out in this book are possible to implement. I am living proof. While I don't practice these principles perfectly (and never will this side of heaven), they have become life giving to my leadership, influence, and even my relationship with God.
