The author is invited to a children's tea party where the other guests are all ghosts. Happy children love the house they live in while other spirits come and go for their own reasons. Some people just seem to have ghosts around them all the time regardless of which house they choose to reside in. Ghost Hunters use modern equipment when they are also invited to roam through the house seeking evidence of the unseen.

History works its way into the present with spirits left behind to lead us into their lives. Blood stains in the floorboards, mysterious lights on a darkened road and the sound of boys traipsing on the floorboards. They all have their way of bringing our attention to them, to let us know they are still here on earth. History leaves its imprint behind so we can follow up in the future to understand about their lives and loves. Some spirits that visit the house they once lived in are still playful and toy with modern conveniences.

Tales of hauntings are given to us to read by those who are haunted, sometimes on a daily basis. One grandmother talks about a nasty hobo who stopped in during the depression for a handout. He's back, now dead and not in a good mood. Another ghost is upset when she sees people living in her house and handling her personal things. Stories come with the fears, loves and desires of former occupants who just refuse to leave their homes. Do they know they are dead? Has no one told them to go forward into the afterlife?
