A collection of intense lessons from life, this book is an emotional kaleidoscope of events that might make you laugh, cry, reflect, or become inspired. This is a fast-paced compilation of short stories and songs, almost entirely true, written while residing on a compact wildlife sanctuary, in a nearly unknown jewel of a town in north Georgia. The tales deal with a wide spectrum of subjects, ranging from encounters with wildlife (Ghost in the Night), to humorous accounts of water sports (Waterskiing) and football (Catch This). Southern cooking (The London Broil That Wasn't) and dieting (A Chocolate Cream Pie) are examined, and the craft of commercial copy writing is given a twisted treatment (Copy Write, Copy Wrong). A song parody is included, as well as a couple of original (but thank goodness, brief) poems. One slightly longer story chronicles the life and death of a child born with severe combined immunodeficiency (Alan of 162 Days), and video game psychosis (Vidiocy)is observed. There is a variety of subject matter, but it is all addressed with one voice.
