Joe Freeman had won alot of money and decided that the best way he could make a difference was to advance the world of physics. He had spent most of his career in communications, so it made sence that he would apply his research to applications in communications. Joe built a lab under his existing house and started to experiment with quantum entanglement and worm holes. After a series of spectacular failures, he decided to risk his entire investment on one last attempt to establish a worm hole. The short lived worm hole allowed him to send entangled photons to a distant section of the universe. The experiment destroyed all of his equipment and produced questionable results.
