Alison Andrews is beautiful and broke. She tries the internet dating scene and connects to Roberto Rubio, a rich Cuban living in Miami. He falls hard and invites Alison to live with him with the provision that if they click, he'll make it permanent. She sells her condo in Dallas and moves to Miami to his huge mansion in Bal Harbour. She feels that she's finally made it, until she comes home from shopping and finds him dead with a bullet hole in his forehead. Alison discovers from the police that Rubio was involved with the Cuban Mafia, known as The Corporation. The FBI had recruited him to gather evidence. He was killed before he could hand over the evidence. Now Esposito, the head of the organization wants Alison dead. She doesn't understand what is happening, but when an attorney gives her a letter from Roberto, she come to certain realizations. One of them is that she wants the killers dead. Roberto's associate, Freddy Cruz is on the run and so is his housekeeper, Belle. When attempts are made on her life, the FBI and the Miami-Dade are on the scene. The action heats up when Esposito wants Alison, no matter how it happens. The shootout is a seat of your pants ending. The epilogue puts another spin on how the story ends.
