This is a shorter version of Building "Pete's Banjo", available for free. Instead of a 20% sample of just the leading pages, this sample tells the whole story end-to-end including planning, construction, launch, and sailing in short form. It is about one quarter of the full book. Start here, and buy the full book if you like this one.
Since 1984 New Jersey Friends of Clearwater's Environmental Sail Program (ESP) gave free sail boat rides in a historical, 26 foot Tuckerton River Sailing Garvey. After 28 years on the water this boat was retired and is now on display at Tuckerton Seaport & Baymen's Museum, Tuckerton, New Jersey. Planning, construction, launch, and sailing of its replacement are all presented as a photo album with captions and narrative. Thirty eight photos, one drawing.
