Damien Vennar wanted to save the world.

He created an experimental new technique that could potentially grant people immortality. He saw a way to potentially remove death and disease from the world. The procedure, however, had some unintended consequences--primarily that the subject dies during the procedure.

Unwilling to test the procedure on anyone else, Damien experiments on himself. Before he could fully understand the changes in his body, his research facility is attacked by people who believe his work is not only unethical and dangerous, but heretical as well. Damien watches as his students and colleagues are gunned down and blown up during the attack, and he realizes he has to do something to stop them, even if it kills him--again.

During his resistance, Damien discovers he has powerful new abilities that help him defend himself and his students against the terrorists. But little does he know that how he handles this conflict will change the direction of the world--and potentially the universe--forever.

A New Day is a prequel to The Technomage Archive trilogy. To see how Damien's experiments turn out in the long-term, be sure not to miss Birthright, Lineage, and Legacy,, all available now.
